The second lockdown: we're here to help

Following the government’s weekend announcement, our office will be partially closed from this Thursday (5 November 2020) for the new lockdown, but we remain available and ready to help.

The majority of our team will be working remotely and are committed as ever to supporting you through these challenging times.

The office will be operating with a skeleton team and our receptionists will be taking and transferring calls to staff, so please get in touch should you need any help or advice now, or over the coming weeks.

Client meetings

No face to face client meetings in the office or at client premises will be taking place over the lockdown period; however, we can carry out these meetings via video conferencing, Skype, Zoom or over the phone. If you have face to face meetings with us planned already, then our staff will be in touch to confirm which of these alternative call arrangements will suit you best.

Important documents

If you wish to drop off your books or other important documents into the office, you will be able to call our reception and book to visit in advance, in accordance with our Coronavirus workplace guidelines.

Extended Furlough scheme

Following our Job Support Scheme update last week, the Furlough scheme has now been extended to cover the second national lockdown period. Although the extended scheme isn’t due to open until this Thursday, it is expected that it will be backdated to Sunday 1 November to allow for continuous Furlough cover. We hope to send a further update on Furlough and other relevant support measures in the next couple of days.

Facing challenging times together

We are in unprecedented times as the Coronavirus pandemic evolves. Things could get more challenging before they get better, and we are here to help. If you have any concerns or would just like a sounding board, then please do get in touch.

Stay safe always.
